Please cancel my trial account

Our honest answer to one of the most common requests we receive

We hear this request often: please cancel my trial subscription or please delete all my data and confirm.

We get it. Years of being mined, tracked, and monetized by every app you’ve ever glanced at will do that to a person. But here’s the thing — we’re not one of those companies.

Go ahead and read our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We’ll wait.

We’re a time-tracking service. We want to track your time, not your soul. Your data is genuinely of no interest to us beyond making the product work.

How to actually delete your account?

Glad you asked. You can delete your account yourself — at any time, during the trial — right here:

https://www.kimai.cloud/my/delete-account/

It’s a button. You click it. The account disappears. No support ticket required. It does exactly what a erasure request would do, and it works immediately, without anyone having to file paperwork.

Please use it. We believe in you.

Alternatively, if buttons feel like too much commitment, you can simply do nothing. Trial accounts and their data are automatically removed after a short period, as documented here.

How do I know my data is really gone?

Simple: if your cloud instance is gone and you can no longer sign in, that’s about as definitive a confirmation as it gets. The account is gone. The data is gone.

Contrast that with emailing us about it — which, ironically, creates new data trails: in your sent folder, in our inbox, in our support system. You’d be generating fresh personal data to ask us to delete existing personal data. The elegance of this is not lost on us.

We’re genuinely unsure why a written reply from a human would be more reassuring than simply… trying to log in and finding that you can’t.
